Wooo i just checked. The last updated of wedding pics was some time in Dec 09. oppsss...

Too many happenings between December till CNY. Many jobs to finish before the CNY (which i managed to do so and my last delievery of photos to couple was on CNY Eve), short overseas Bintan Pre Wedding shoot mid Jan 10, change of job in Feb (yes, i quitted after almost 10 yrs with a company) and now kind of settled down in a new company :), Update of portfolio etc etc..

I shot Hak Yee and Jia Xiu wedding in early December 09. Below are some of their highlights.

3rd Placing

This is supposed to be a happy entry.
This is the highest placing I ever won at AGWPJA quarterly competition. But I had a really bad day at work in my day job. The worst ever in 2009 i guess. I didn't had any mood for lunch and only ate something at 7pm+ when i reached home. Even when my good neighbour Darryl from Dazza msn me the good news in the morning, i was in no mood to open up to see what i have won. I was in a dazed for the whole day. I blamed myself for not being super detailed at work (i am never a detailed person). It makes me think if the current job is suitable for me. haiz...

Anyway enough of it.

I leave you with the winning pic! :) I was lucky to be at the right place and right time to capture this....

I shot Andy and Jeraldine wedding in October. One of the more interesting sabo obstacles i have came across. Andy had to face a bunch of sisters' power in order to get his lovely bride. In one of the obstacle, I had to climb 9 floor with Andy to retrieve the missing puzzle. He nearly missed the first puzzle piece. I had to sound him out otherwise i faced the risk the climbing down from 9th floor to find the missing piece. The day ended with a nice buffet dinner at the British Club.

Sabo Idea 2

One of the most common sabo ideas by the sisters. Especially for those who likes to play mahjong, this sabo item never failed to appear on their list. The sisters will usually pour the whole set of majong tiles into a pail of water pail filled with ice. The groom and/or the brothers suppose to remove a set of 清一色 or 十三么 or 碰碰胡 or 大四喜 or 大三元 etc...

I have also seen sisters used scrabbles tiles. They pose question ie, what is the bride favourite colour, the groom and brothers will then have to pick up those correct tiles from the ice cold water.

Usually all these comes with a time limit. :)

But but but... to make it more interesting.... hehehe...should use colour water. So that groom and brothers won't be able to see thru the water to pick those tiles. Colour water makes it abit mystery isn't it. Can't see whats inside... maybe can add in some special ingrdients inside..like dead lizard, fishes etc..yucks!

Sabo Idea

I am doing some editing of Andy & Jeraldine photos and i thought this card board was nicely done by the sisters isn't it? So nice. Message was loud and clear! Andy was made to wear this and had to find 5 people to congratulate him. Way too easy for him.

Maybe should set more criteria like go to the next blk that is visble to the bride and sisters and knock on every door to get someone to congratulate him (must be on the same floor as the bride so that everyone across the blk can see).
OR Must get 5 people with certain age group to congratulate eg. Baby, child, Teenage, young adult, elderly etc...

OK ok.. i am bored... and i better ZIPPED before i get into big trouble.

We got to know Jonathan and Corina through Jonathan's sister Angeline. We shot Angeline's wedding in 2008 and she recommended our service to Jonathan. We are happy to be able to be part of their big day!This is also the first time I saw hard liquor are being serve in replacement of tea at Corina's house. I can see that... all the uncles and Aunts are very good drinkers! Oh, Angeline makes really nice cupcakes. We didn't get to eat despite her asking us to. Too nice la... can't bear to eat leh. :)

Pier & Fish

Pier & Fish was our ROM couple (taken by Wu) one year ago. Immediately after her ROM, she told us she wanted us for her AD wedding this year. We are happy to be her photographers for her actual day wedding! Fish was on full force smiley for the whole day. I hardly seen any serious or stressed out look on her face. Very nice! Charming lady and well liked by her friends, relatives, colleagues and bosses! Pier is one lucky man. Here are some of the highlights. Oh, she also wrote a nice testimonial for us. I have been shooting for continuously 5 weekends. The amount of photos to sort and process are scary! That explained the lack of updates in this blog :P

This couple is special to Depixel. They are either the first or second couple to book with us when Depixel first started in 2007. Initially they wedding was planned in 2008. But they later postphone it to September this year. Its a 2 year gap since they signed up. Their package price is what i classified as.. GOOD INVESTMENT. haa. ..

Besides this, during their actual day, i had difficulties getting a mouth to mouth kiss shot from this couple (not even a peck on the lips). In fact no one spotted them doing it despite cheers from friends and guests asking them kiss. They are just sooooo shy. hehe.

When the Church pastor gave the cue for Randy to unveil Lydia ... i was so excited and concentrate for the kiss moment. Camera all ready and aiming at them. I was thinking to myself, come on, surely this time you will kiss the bride on the lips rite... BUT No lor!! After Randy unveil Lydia, they SHOOK HANDs and smile and each other. Soo cute. But i almost fainted on the spot. I think everyone is expecting them to kiss or at least a peck on the cheek.

Yup, this is the moment i have been waiting for.. The kiss on the lips. But it never happened. As you can see, they shook hands and smile at each other. kekeke.. shy la..

This is their first march in.... no.. They ran in....!

.... to distribute balloons to all the kids in the ballroom. I can forsee they will have lots of kids next time.

Finally its August! A month of rest and relax before the hectic Sept - Dec wedding shoots. A month where i have no shoot, yeah! (except for 1 couple on 1st week of August). A month for me to review packages, my style, clear backlogs, housekeeping, watch DVDs (i haven watch Transformer 2 u know! I think i am the only person among my friends who have not watch Transformer 2! argghh.. and now i heard G.I. Joe is excellent stuff). August is also a good month for me to catch up with friends for coffee during weekends or do some casual shoots.

Khet and Shuhui

We shot Khet and Shuhui ROM last year. This year we had the opportunity to meet them again on their Actual Day Wedding. Their wedding was held over two days which gave us sometime to have an outdoor shoot in the afternoon. The dinner was at Novotel Clark Quay on a Monday night. This is also the first time Wu and I shot in the hotel. And it was really GREAT! We like the overall feel of the hotel. Abit like shangri la. Comments for the food is good and service is excellent. And this is also the first time I witnessed the banquet manager helped the groom to down a glass of liquor prepared by the friends. I was quite shocked :P, in fact everyone was shocked. And its a SHE. While everyone was stunned, she quickly usher the groom away to avoid more sabo. Idea rite! kekeke...

I also met my colleague husband at the dinner who happened to be Khet cousin. Such a small world.

Khet and Shuhui is also one of the rare couple i had who never chased me for the photos. I only managed to deliver the photos to them last night (after 1 month plus :P) and Khet was telling me they are ok with the waiting, no hurry. duh! ok ok enough said... see photos now ok.

They hired a mini bus for their friends!

I like this!

They released all the balloons after the afternoon outdoor shoot. And everyone ran for their life.. because Wu told us we need to seek clearance to release so many balloons incase of aircraft fly by...hmmm...

Roy & Joyce engaged me to take their ROM at Orchard Parade Hotel. They had their ROM held in their hotel suite room. Very nice setting. I can see Joyce put in lots of effort decorating the whole room up. With her own very nice customised guests book for signature to balloons, rose petals, wine etc. Simply nice la! I was glad they chose me for their big day to experience this. And they had very cool friends to witness their Big Day.

Terence & Janice

Opps.. .. i've been neglecting this blog for a while. Just realised i haven been posting anything for weeks. :P

Taken in May, one day after my 3 weeks reservist. I was initially assigned to shoot Terence and Janice. But due to my 3 weeks reservist in May, Wu took over (because their wedding is on a weekday). Then Wu got posted to Taiwan for work and arrived home 1 day before their wedding. For the safety of everyone, Wu decided to quarantine himself at home and told me to shoot their big day. And so coincidental, i was given day off for NS training over weekends. So we went one big round and in the end i am still the one shooting Terence & Janice. Fated la...kekeke...

And i received testimonial from Terence and Janice! :)

Things started just when i saw Alex in my friend's wedding and found he is very good in getting nice post and friendly to all even the guests.
As my wedding date was planned on 4/7/09 but things happen that my wife's grand pa passed on ( sad thing to said) therefore we planned for before 100 days and ended up on 22/5/09.

when inform Alex on the date he told me OMG he is on reservist recommend me his parnter Wu.
Wu understand that we are on the rush and alots of things not in place and he was very helpful in terms of helping us scanning high resolution of our old pictures that no negative, no soft copy and make us a beautiful montage as a gift which make my wife very happy.
And also understand from us that we would like to have the moment for the day only which most video man do not do, Wu helped us to source for Derrick settle our problems.

But he was on hold for quantine due to H1N1 issue that end up Alex have to be activated to do my shoots. lol (seems like alot of thing happen)
Alex is very professional in his shooting skill as and when will guide us what to do and also specially for me who do not like to take pictures so much he did very good work in my photos.

Plus my wife Janice also love her beautiful photo so much that she told me 300 pcs from Alex is not enough she want more.

Finally i am back from 3 weeks of reservist. It was a nice break for me. But work in office is piling up sky high.. :(

I received an email today. Happy to find two submissions was in top 20 for Getting Ready Category under AGWPJA Quarter 1 contest. Yipee!! I only had one couple portfolio to choose from this year to submit for the contest. And heng heng two of them got into 20.

I did Michael and Lynn ROM last year. And this year, they invited me and Wu to capture their AD moments. Very sporting couple and very comfortable infront of the camera (which makes our job easier...hee...). Below are some of the moments for the day.

Long Break

We have taken a long long long break from photography. That explains the lack of updates. :P

We are busy with work. At the same time, spending more time with family, gaming, and catching up with DVD movies. From now on, i should be updating this blog as frequently as possible.

We had a wedding shoot yesterday for Michael and Lynn. I leave u with one pic. Will post more after we have done with the editing for the rest of the photos.

I am so tired today. But i can't seem to fall asleep. I think i kenna coffee overdose already. We met 5 couples at Killiney Kopi today (our record is 6 couples in a single day at Bugis back in 2007). Me and Wu spent about 5 hours at Killiney. I think i drank at least 3 cups of coffee (i usually drank only 1 cup max per day) :( .....

Since i can't sleep, i might as well post an entry here.

Wait, before i continue, i must warn ya. If u are under 21 yrs old OR get offended easily by "Adult Theme", PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ON THE PIC FOR SLIDESHOW. IT CONTAINED ADULT THEME.

Jared and Wendy was our last couple wedding shoot in December 2008. Well it did leave us with deep impression. They had the longest sabo session and most number of sabo items ever in all our wedding shoot. Oh, and best of all....Wendy stayed near my area. Only 3 mins walk from my house..wahahaha...

Let me try to recall. Jared has to go thru the following sabo session to get his lovely Bride.

Sabo items listed in order from the time he reached Wendy's house...

1. Brothers were told to buy some items outside. One of the items i remembered is bar chor mee. The brothers brought one packet of maggie mee and told the sisters to cook themselves..wahaha.

2. Disgusting yakult drink (many rounds of it)

3. Wear disposable underwear with letters to form the words "We R Bengs"

4. Wear diapers to form the sentence "Loy Love Wendy"

5. Bollywood dance around brothers

6. Bollywood dance around pillar

7. Issue condoms to all brothers and they must each blow till it burst!!! DUH!!

8. Synchronise Dance

9. Get to know Wendy Quiz which Jared failed miserably

10. Wear a string with one sausage and 2 fish balls around waist level. Brothers suppose to eat each other sausages + fish balls (U MUST SEE THIS!!)

11. More yakult disgusting drinks

12. Compose a song with some letters/words

13. Jared blindfolded and declare his love outside a room and must say good things about each sisters.

14. Jared declared his love to a fake bride

15. Finally in between the above sabo sessions, ang paos are given out to sisters.

I remembered last year, at this time, i am still struggling with couple photos. This year, hee hee, with proper planning (and discipline), i managed to clear all photos before CNY. I've been taking a long break from editing work since first day of CNY. SHIOK!! Been watching alot of TV, DVD, gaming and chatting with friends on MSN. ha..

There are still work to be done for Depixel. Update portfolio la, review our package content la, update blog la, meet more couple la, review our package pricing la (*wink wink*) etc etc (oh, did i mentioned our new website is up and running since CNY?). Our "engine" is starting to warm up already. Enough of the long break..

I didn't had a good start to 2009. Uneventful crap hit me on the eve of 2009 and 1st day of 2009. 2008 hasn't be kind to me as well. Too many unhappy incident hit me for me to list here.

Well, i hope its all over. I am so looking forward to a brand new year. Hope things turns out well for me this year. Must start to see horoscope prediction (hey now i remember, last year they did mentioned my horoscope is quite bad for 2008 and i had a career change in mid yr. It did happened, DUH!).

Depixel Photography also has some new plans/goals ahead of the new year. hmmm ...stay tuned ba. haa haa...one of them is happening very soon. Wu is doing it at the moment and eager to show off, but he needs my input...which i had no time to do it. I got...er...let me count again... 5 couples of photos to complete by CNY. GOSH!!

I don't recall meeting Andy & Lynn before their wedding day. So when i reached Lynn house early in the morning, I have no idea who is the bride. Good thing is Lynn was already in her wedding gown. So obviously she is the bride, so thats easy to identify. ha. Bad thing is ... I missed the make up process. I just love to take make up process at the bride place. If i am to choose a favourite time of a wedding day to shoot. It will definately be the make up process. The worst or something i don't like to shoot....group photos at dinner. kekeke. That is i am given a choice la...... Obviously me and Wu are so chin chai that whatever the couple request to shoot, we will oblidge.

Denis & April

We shot their ROM last December. And they decided to engage us again for their Actual Day Wedding in November 08.

Denis is such a nice guy. So nice until he willingly get punished by the sisters without any complains or resistant. He hardly bargain with the sisters at the gate. They gave him nasty food, he swallowed them all without complains. They gave him a lipstick, he "apply" it on his lips so hard and so much that his lips was so red despite using water and tissue to clean it off. He had the red lips on for most part of the morning..kekeke. They want him to sing song, he sang it out loud without any help from the brothers. At the dinner, because of some missing accessories for April, he called up the bridal shop and want them to deliver it to the hotel immediately. He paid for the cab fare of that delivery person. All because he want his bride to be happy and want to do the first march-in with smiles on her face. He keep telling us he don't care about the late march in, he just want his bride to be happy. They had a happy march-in near 9pm. Oh oh oh..before i forget, he cater seat for us at the dinner. The food was superb as u can see from the pic below (Last pic). We also had a good chit chat time at the table with 1 uncle and 2 aunties.

Taking a break from sorting and editing tons of photos to post some Stanley & Karen wedding photos.

We met them together with another couple, Billy and Ice. And both couples signed up with us last year. :)

At their wedding day, we witnessed for the first time, the brothers "punished" the sisters after the gate crashing session, ha. The brothers confisicated all sisters shoes and put a distance away from the house. So that the sisters must walk bare footed to get back their shoes...ha.

Alvis & Sindy ROM

This is by far the most 夸张 ROM i ever seen. Why? Because there are 10 photographers (i'm talking about DSLR users) at Sindy's ROM!!! kekeke... So the couple can be sure that all ANGLES are covered.

When Sindy approached me to take her ROM. I felt so stress...because she got many photographers friend who are willing to take her ROM. I will feel pressurised ma. Moreover, she is very critical at photos.. because she took good photos and very critic in colours and B&W. Anyway ok lor, i told her i only take make up and ceremony, because i wanna EAT buffet!! haa haa haa. Moreover i had a wedding job exactly the same day. So i finished with the morning shoot, rushed down to her ROM at 1pm and and finished at about 4pm+, rushed home, bath, changed and rushed off to dinner shoot for the morning couple. I knew i will have no time for lunch and dinner and therefore, the meals at her ceremony is VERY IMPORTANT TO ME for the day. To keep me alive....ha

Anyway, I knew Sindy when i was working part-time during my Poly year 1 holidays. I was working at Marina Metro as wok promoter. Yes, Wok. I still remember the brand, Meyer (Auntie ah, this one non-stick one ah, must use wood ladder to cook hor blah blah blah) kekeke. She was working there as some promoter, can;t remember. Then we are in the same poly, took some similar subjects in school, then i went with her to australia for studies for 2 years, stayed with her under one roof for 1 semester and it is thru her i knew my wife. Then coming back to Singapore, she intro me to DSLR about 3+ years ago. Thats where i learned about DSLR and get a bit serious about photography and eventually led to wedding photography.

Anyway, back to the ROM. I was so shacked out when i reached her hotel without lunch. So managed to snap a few shots during her make up and ceremony. The best thing about this ROM is i get to shoot what i like (no group photos...woo hooo). Group photos are taken care by other photographers.

I have done up a slideshow for her. But i messed up the slides timing and too lazy to change it :P. So bear with it ya.

I've been working my ass off this 2 weeks. Knocking off late at work frequently now. Workload is getting heavier and heavier as days goes by with peak period starting from December to April (in case u wondering what i am talking about.....i am referring to my full time day job). Wedding Photography isn't that light either. But at least it is coming to an end soon with 6 more jobs to shoot before New Year Day. woo hoooo... Lucky i have quite a few days of annual leave to clear and should be grounding myself at home to finish all couples photos (i have 5 couples photos to edit. Gosh!!). Ok i shall stop here.....do photo le...But some preview first........ I am beginning to love B&W. I wonder Ken likes or not...hmmmmm...

Ken, in case u are wondering, your photos are 80% ready (Wu completed le, left me only).... kekeke...This weekend should get liao la. Working on it now... Left dinner shots. :P

I shot this wedding alone. It was meant to be Wu's but he had something on. Best part is, the bride is actually his Secondary School classmate, or issit secondary schoolmate. And he knew most of the bride's "sister". Such a small world. It will be perfect if he had shot this wedding to get together with old friends. Now he can only depend on my pic to see how are all the sisters getting on.

Its getting late le (2am, gosh!), so i shall keep this short to post the slideshow up. Am sure Roy and Mei Siew are eager to catch a glimpse of the photos. We are halfway through November and surviving well with the packed wedding jobs. Just finished back to back wedding this weekend and strangely i don't feel that tired. One more back to back 2 days wedding next week and we are almost done with all November jobs..woo hooo... But then, which means more late nights for editing.... :(

We shot Shawn and Melissa wedding in October (on my wedding anniversary day somemore). Shawn drove a cool Audi 2 seater to fetch Melissa (Wu has been eyeing this car for a while already). This is also the first time I am shooting at the groom house (never done that before wor). And best part is I have breakfast at Macdonald with the boys before proceeding to Melissa house. Cool! These bunch of boys are really sporting with all the sabo stuff which the gorgeous gals came out with. At one point, Melissa Mum was blocking the door and Shawn has to come out with 10 good things to say to mum before she make way for him.

Back to work

After 2 weeks of reservist, i am finally back at work. Not looking forward to my workstation at all because i don't like what i'm doing with my current portfolio. And further more one of my colleague is not being helpful to induct me into the job. haiz..

I can't believe i still haven got my reservist medal. Everyone is getting it already and i thought i should get it this time as i have clocked in 5 high key training. Seems like i have to wait till another year. But i did enjoyed my reservist this time with countless of canteen break, catching up with old and new friends, PSP gaming (yes we carry PSP around with us and link play during our break, crazy rite), obtaining silver for my IPPT, ..... Hey we did have our siong siong training hor, i talked as if like its a holiday camp ya.... kekekeke...

This in camp training, i was hoping to meet Gabriel from Gabriel Mendes Photography. I saw in his blog that he was having the same reservist period as me. So i was on alert mode for the 14 days, hoping to see him and have a chat with him, probably need some expert advise from him. Alas, didn't meet him at all. Then Dazza was telling me sometimes he has late night supper with Jeremy from Red Co. Photography and Eadwine from Plush Photography just outside my house and wanna jio me along. I was hoping to go to meet these Big Brother, but if i go, the next day i will sure concuss in office or probably turned into a walking zombie...hahahaha. haizz....

This weekend is the start of a hectic month for me. I will have the most number of shoot in a single month. Never done it before but i think i should be able to pull it through. It didn't help when my good friend jio me for a game of tennis every Wednesday evening. I told him to go ahead to book the court and i will be there.....now a bit regret to say that to him. GULP!

Anyway i hope i can update as many weddings pic here as possible, starting with this one below. Must be discipline already.. cannot pak PSP for long hrs already (I better not start another RPG game or else...). must do photos photos photos photos ....

eh... my FIFA 2009 is staring infront of me..... think i shall have 3 matches after this before i sleep.. :P

Wu has been accepted to Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA).

Alex has been accepted to Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association ([AG]WPJA).

Alex is having 2 weeks reservist from 13 Oct to 24 Oct 08. Sianzz..And Guess what, he cleared his IPPT without trainng for it. $200 in his bank soon...woo hooooo.

One more wedding to go this month before the super pack November 08 wedding shoot.

Shawn & June

Ever since Shawn & June signed us up 1 year ago, I've been looking forward to their wedding. I dunno man, but i just find they are one unique couple that i have encountered so far.

Beginning of this year, i was told that i need to help up in my workplace audit. The date to audit is exactly on Shawn & June wedding date. I was shattered! Totally sianz at that point in time because my leave sure wont get approved and i wont get to shoot them. Then in July, i got transferred to another department and i thought i can escape the audit. No, i was wrong. I was told i still need to go back to my previous department to finish up till the audit is over. haizz... Not only i wont be able to shoot them, i have to find someone to take over me. Then came August i recevied a good news that the audit was postphoned to 2009. Wooo hoooo!!

And there u go, i was a happy man at their wedding day. I am glad I did not missed this wedding. Very interesting and I am very satisfied with what i produced. Oh, i also met my mum friend at the wedding. She told me maybe my mum may know June's Mum.

Ok, enough said.. i have done a slideshow for them. I have been listening to U2 song lately. Decided to chose this one for the slides.

After 2 months break from wedding shoot, we kicked start the second half of 2008 with Ben & Nicole wedding.

Ben's face was as red as a lobster that night. Keep drinking and drinking. I must say he can hold pretty well. When we went up his room after the dinner, he can still tell me he wanna see preview of his wedding pics. Oh, i met one of my soccer kakis at his wedding, who happened to be ~~his ..uncle~~ Nicole's uncle?? DUH!! He also stopped playing since our team got disband 1 yr+ ago.

Baby Photos for Gynae

I was asked to produce my kids photos for my wife gynae.

He asked me for Ashley photos 2.5 yrs ago when he delivered her. I was plain lazy then..kekeke... He wanted to pin up those photos on his board (really full of baby photos). That shows how popular he is.

We will be meeting him tomorrow for the last checkup and to avoid kenna suan by him again, i decided to give him these two. Hopefully he is ok with it. Purposely don't want to include my face in it. hehehe...

Ashley is getting real cheeky these days.

Crap ... I am sick again...

Ever since my soccer team got disbanned 2 yrs ago (any of u recruiting players? i can play right wing back or right winger. Preferably east side hor, please consider me), i been getting sick quite frequently due to lack of exercise. I also haven been going for my weekly 3km jog on Wednesday evening at bedok reservoir. I also did not join my company soccer team training every friday evening for a long long long time. The members are saying ... Alex is a Tournament Player. Only appear on Tournament day itself. haa haa... I also got feedback recently from my Bowling members that i did not appear in any of the training but only appear during Tournament (somemore i am the Bowling convenor). Haizz... So many things yet so little time for me..especially at the current situation i am in. How how how....!!!

But there is one thing i yet to achieve... i want to Tri... i wanna take part in a triathlon event. I told my friend...give me three years... i will look for her in 3 yrs time to train me up. Few years ago she couldn't even last a 1km jog. I was running with her at the reservoir then. Today, she run like a wind. I couldn't keep up with her anymore. She is a pro triathlete now.

It was 10pm+, she said "oh, pain come liao" and start timing. First it was 30 mins interval. Then 20 mins...

I was doing photo. I panicked. Cold sweat on my palm. Walk up and down. Tell Wu i going hospital liao. And he tried to calm me down...hahahaha. Althought second time but i still panic. Heart beat so fast!

I keep telling her come on, mai tu liao, lets go ...dun wait already. Sekali later cannot walk how how how??!?!?! Too late for epidural how how how!!! ... She can still sit there, say "relax... ai zai... not time yet...wait for 10 mins interval..."...faintzz.

Waaah...i cannot take it. So panic already still tell me to relax...how can!!! i continued to get counselled by Wu through msn. Bro, wait till your turn!! u dun laugh...tsk tsk tsk!!!

I quickly packed my camera, PSP (hahaha), HP charger, clothes...

At 11pm+... i cannot take it liao. I go over to her and tell her..."ooi...go leh. still wait for what..ai yooo" ... She still insist on waiting because reach hospital early also nothing to do and the ward is freezing cold.

At near 12am... she cannot take it liao...pain is coming at 10 mins interval.. So i rushed her to the hospital. Admitted to ward at about 12.20am.

I did the registration and settled down at about 1am plus. On the HBO channel but nothing interest me. Then took out my PSP to kill time (all these while, she is resting la...). At about 3am...nurse said ready! Waaah...it caught me off guard siah... I was still thinking, its going to be a long night... Start to panic again. I was biting my nails and folding my arms every 2 mins interval. Stood there and stared at those equipment and nurses who are busy preparing those stuff... Basically i was quite numbed and my legs couldn't move!! faintzz... Panic what, what to do...hahaha..

Push!! push!! waah... i still stood there. When doc came in, i realised hey i need to stand by her side to help her ma. So i grabbed my camera and stood by her side to give her my support (heng my legs decided to move). After a while.... he came out.... ...woo hhooooo.. take a few snap a him at few mins old. But one pic only for now...because i need to rush back to the hospital now!!!!

I told her one more coming ANYTIME now.... i think her jaw nearly dropped...wahahahaha. Before we left, i told her she can still introduce her jie meissss to me one ma..."wink wink"... wahahaha.... ok what... friend only ma...wahahahaha. This month alone i got two offer already (the other one is a colleague from another department). People wanna introduce gals to me. They must be thinking me no life, still single, still young . Anyway, i still pester the colleague to introduce the gal to me (curious ma)... ...HAHAHAHA.. i very friendly one, no harm know more friends what...kekeke....

So recently i decided to learn how to do my own updating and learn how best to showcase more of our work. I had a crashed course one night through msn. First time i am accessing my web domain or hosting or whatever u call it. Feel kinda nervous because i'm scare that i messed up our Depixel website and it will be gone.

Wow suddenly this blog becomes active again...kekeke.

When I first met Martyn, he immediately recognised me and knew i was from NP previously. He happened to be my friend, Bringal, hang out mates back in poly days. And coincidentally Martyn's cousin, Chi Yen is my camp mate during NS days. Chi Yen also went to Queensland for studies about the same time as me and i think we played mahjong together at Brisbane before..wahaha. Chi Yen also share the same birthday as me (and that is why i choose him to work with me when i saw his profile during NS days). And then one of Martyn's "brother" who is also Martyn poly classmate ,Tong, is my camp mate/bunk mate. Talk about coincidence... duh!!

Yes, Wu is laughing at me now. Me asked for it. Me get into trouble for writing the previous post about the preview. Haiz. No choice what, I am such a nice guy ma. What to do. Couple happy, i also happy ma...wahahha... (dammm..really regret. Can i take back what i wrote previously. No more preview liao hor). No la Wu, actually I am just doing a test to see if anyone really reads our blog ma. I got my answer liao lor....wahahahaha.

Thanks Khet and Lynna for not chasing after us for photos. Appreciate that. We always try to make it a point to finish within a month. But u know, some months are really peak (and june 08 is Peak) and we really need understanding from couples. Depixel do not want to do a rush job for all our couples.

Sometimes i really feel like just giving up depixel already (but then its a passion thing, so maybe i wont give up ...yet. Sometimes, its the assurance and the appreciations from the couple that keeps me going....i should say, keep me and Wu going). No life leh. Day time work, night time edit photos, weekends shoot. And we haven talk about arranging time off to meet couples, delivery of DVD & albums. I haven really have time for myself for a long time. What is the latest show now in cinema i also dunno. How orchard road has changed, i also no time to see except when i drove past for dinner shoot at hotels in orchard roads. I missed my soccer sessions every sunday morning (oh, khet's brother is my soccer kakis!! Couldn't recognise him until he came over to talk to me). Then sometimes i have wierd request to have photos within two weeks. TWO WEEKS!! How on earth we gonna finish in two weeks! And it was written in our terms that a minimum of 3 weeks editing time is required. 3 weeks MINIMUM leh.... but still, got people asked me for photos within 2 weeks. Haizz, of course we also wanna do it in two weeks, pass it to you. You happy, we also happy. But we really cannot lor. So i hope couples can understand. We do understand the parents and friends factor. Tell them, good things must wait!

Anyway enough of my grumbling la. Tomorrow wake up will be a better day!

Wow, i just realised i haven been updating this blog for almost a month. That shows we are really really busy!! Ya, actually June is a hectic month for us. We been shooting like every weekend (both Sat and Sun). Really test our physical limit... It does't help when Euro 2008 kicked off in June. Phew, lucky its all over. One more wedding this coming weekend and thats it for me. I am exhausted. Time to rest and update our porfolio. Wu will be a happy man this coming weekend. Off he goes to Maldives for a well deserve break. Soooooooooo ENVY!!!

Jason told me Maggie is eager to see some preview of the photos we took. OK, since u want it, you will have it (Liao...Buang... i know i'm in deep trouble... couples will start to ask me for preview!!). Hmmm ..eh Jason, u must give something in return ma. WHERE IS YOUR RACHA PHOTOS!!!!! Show me leh!!

I met a really cool and friendly singer at one of our couple wedding recently.

At first i thought "hey that gal looked like Jamie Teo (the Miss Spore 2001), is she going to sing here tonight??"i was like duh!! Is that really her??? Maybe slight resemblance la.

Anyway we had a short casual chat just before the her performance with her band. Her name is Kewei and she is the founder for Yours Truly. The moment she sang the first tune, i was like fwaaaah.. the voice..wow!! She is good! I was enjoying her songs the whole night :P.
(Hey hey hey, i also got do my job one hor. I didn't just stand there to hear her sing hor, i still take pictures the whole night ok. kekekeke.)

Anyway after the wedding dinner, i went home to check emails and at the same time check out Yours Truly. I read Kewei profile and I nearly fell off my chair...gosh!! She is so talented and a background vocalist for David Tao, Amei, JJ Lin Junjie for their world tours. Faintzzz.. Totally impressed!

Work Hard Play Hard

On our last day shoot with Dewei and Chuxuan, Chuxuan wanted us to bring tripod while we roam the street at Perth City. She wanted to have a group pics together (actually she wanna tekan us lah!!!).... u can check out the photos below how she tekan us. The next day, Wu and my body are aching all over. I think we jumped at least 20 times for the shoot....... But i think its worth it. Everytime when me and Wu see these pics, we will laugh till pengzzz...Really bring back the good times we had in Perth.

Come to think of it.. this is the first time we actually took a photo with our couple. I think should be the first time... And therefore i decided to show face here. Otherwise i wouldn't even want to post my pics up..wahaha...not photogenic and pai seh mah, what to do. But Wu is different. He is a natural poser. .Just check out the pics below...kekekeke..

Depixel back from overseas shoot

We are back from our first overseas shoot in Perth. It was a great experience!!

The weather was not bad when we arrived. The blue sky with beautiful clouds appeared halfway through our trip and the weather turned really bad towards the end (Storm wor, wind speed was 125km/hr according to the weather report). Nevertheless, WE HAD A GREAT TIME THERE!!!!

In total we clocked in 2500km drive around the region (faintzzz). We explored some of the places with our first couple who never been to Perth. We brought them around (its a pity that the pinnicle trip was abit messed up..haizz). Wu did most of the driving (except for days he need to rest then i took over the wheels). I am his vehicle commander and human GPS ("Turn left, turn right, go straight, U-turn, hit freeway no.1, go no. 2 freeway after two junction..." :P).

We have two BBQ nights (wu did the seasoning and he is very good at it. He even cook dinner for us. Really pro and slurpy). We looked forward to our next trip next year. Below are some sneak preview of the first couple.

Depixel Photography turns 1 today!

It was an amazing year for Depixel.

It was not easy but we made it through(with many sleepless nights..kekeke).

We made many new friends and been to many hotels..hahaha.

Wu and I would like to Thank all the couples who believes in us.

We will continue to improve ourselves to deliver quality photos to all our couples.

We have plans for the coming one year and we hope couples will continue to place their faith in us.

Finally April has gone by. It was rocky ride for me that month. I was at my all time low. Now its time to pick myself up and look forward. And I am looking forward to our trip in Aussie in about 2 weeks time. All set and ready for the shoot.. hee hee..

Bad Week

It was a really lousy week for me and i'm glad the week is almost over. Monday was really bad for me. I was sick, got an MC but still decided to get back to work. Tuesday was the worst. People are telling me that i am "expressionless". Well, if they are in my situation, i'm sure they will feel the same too. Anyway, i shall not go into details but it got something to do with my current day job. Wednesday was equally bad. Thursday got abit better and Friday was just ok. Everything is not right. It was so bad that i think i almost went into depression. I was lucky to have an MSN friend to confide to, and she understand the whole situation that i am in. Thanks for listening friend! I am ok now. It was the worst week i ever had for the past 8 yrs. It sucks! Next week will be a better week!

I think i feel happier when i edit photos!! hee hee.. And I completed one series on Saturday. Below are some highlights..

Church Wedding

The following photos are taken in February this year. It was quite emotional at the church ceremony when the couple gave their speech. Can feel my eyes watery again this time. This is also the first time i have seen a bride played the guitar with her gown on... quite hip ya. OK some pics to share...

I slept at 10pm last night and woke up at 2.15am to get ready for a wedding shoot at 3.30am. Faintzzz... actually i'm not sure if i have fallen asleep. All i know is i am totally in zombie mode when i reached home at 5pm. And now at 2am...i am wide awake!! Jia lat liao...how am i going to survive in office tomorrow (i mean later this morning). I think i better go count sheeps now and hopefully i can get some sleep before day break.....

Finally, after two weeks of reservist, I am back! Email responses from me should be faster from now on. You should be able to see me in msn during the day...kekeke. And some of you should be hearing from me soon to meet up for discussion and portfolio viewing.

I have also cleared quite abit of couple photos and ready for delivery this weekend. Yoo hooooooo!!! I am almost "CLEAN" from backlog liao...YES!!!

For the first time, I kindof missed my two weeks reservist.
I missed all the "crap" i had with my mates in camp.
I missed my power nap in camp (rushed thru our lunch to Zzzz for 1 hr at the library. And not forgetting ZZzzzz in between lessons...hehe).
I missed the sun! I am getting fairer each day!! yucks....!!! The sky has not been kind to me for that two weeks. It was raining most of the time. And i hated that, because it was damm muddy outfield... haizz..
I got silver for IPPT...wooohoooo....$200 bucks. kekeke....

On another note, today is a very sad day for me. One close colleague last day in office. I been working with her for almost 5 yrs. Haizz..

I will miss the times we work together for the past 5 years.

I will miss crapping with her.

I will miss her great help she provided in our work.

I will miss her in our team.

I got one less person to complain to now...haizz.

I remembered i made a blunder.

Carie called me one morning to arrange for a meet up to view my work. I think it was a Friday or Thursday and I'm not sure if i mentioned Saturday (i tot i got say leh...) but i remembered i told her, "ok meet at 2pm".

2pm that very day, my HP phone rang... Carie said "I am here already, where are you ah? how come i cannot see you".

I tell you, fwwwaaaaahhh... the moment i heard this from Carie... i was stunned and my heart nearly stopped beating that afternoon. I was totally speechless. I think my face went pale. I was holding my HP, standing up at my workstation and staring at my office ceiling.... i couldn't utter a word.... too shocked liao...kekekeke.

I recovered from my shocked after like 10 seconds and i said HUH!!! WHAT!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!!! OMG!!!! NOT TODAY!!! faintzzzz...... I was so embarassed and sorry about the whole thing and keep apologizing to her. She was really nice. She said it was ok. Really, I am so touched and at the same time felt super duper guilty!! (I think for most people, sure screamed at me liao!!!!).

I told her i will go to any destination of her choice that very night to show her my portfolio. Heng she stayed near me....HAHAHAHAHA... I met her that night and treated her to Starbucks Coffee (wait, i think is ice earl grey tea or what. She did't drink coffee). And the best part is, she decided to use our service for her wedding...phew!!! Tu Tu la me..haiz...hope it wont happened to anyone again. My heart cannot take it.... :P

The last shoot for February is finally over last Sunday. We are not taking any jobs in February to finish off all outstanding couples photos (5 more couples photos to sort and edit..faintzz). There are a couple of enquires for February wedding though so...lets see how la. YES.. FINALLY I GET TO REST!!! kekekeke

Last Sunday was my good friends' wedding and i was asked to cover the event. So i took this chance to pull in Darryl (introducing our so called "back up" PG or 3rd PG for Depixel). Darryl is my childhood friend and he stayed just less then 3 mins walking distance away from where i am staying now. We did everything together during our childhood days, from cycling, skateboarding (and getting caught by police for skateboarding on the road), fishing, gaming, badminton etc.... We got "seperated" for about 10 years when we went tertiary education and army (we did not keep in contact till last year and all these while he is still staying 3 mins away from me...really wierd ya. ha ha) . And now, we are back together doing photography stuff. Darryl is more of a creative person probably due to his web design backgroup. Daniel asked me to cover his wedding last sunday. I was quite reluctant at first becauase i wanna eat, relax and enjoy the company of good friends. I also have a 13 hrs wedding shoot one day before his wedding. Haiz.. who ask him to be my good friend. The bride is also my secondary and poly schoolmate. So how can i refuse this. I told Daniel i need him to do a few stunt for me in return during the actual day shoot and he accepted it with a grin..haha. I was almost in zombie mode at his dinner because of lack of sleep (I only had less then 8 hours sleep from Friday night till Sunday Midnight). I have to do the following Express Highlight for his dinner which leave me no sleep in the afternoon (I dozed off a few times and nearly crash my head onto my monitor in the afternoon...kekeke). Anyway with the help of Darryl, we managed to produce the following Express Highlight and slideshow to show everyone here.

This photo blog really helps. We met a few couples recently and usually we will show at least two recent portfolio (er, i think this blog shows the most latest pics already. The one in my laptop shows a more complete version of a whole day event). But lately, few of them did not even finish the first portfolio and return the laptop to me. At first this is quite worrying because it could mean our photos are so badly done that they bored them ...hahaha. In the end, the couple signed up with us leh. ho ho ho... i later found out they checked out our pics in this blog (and website of course). So prior to meetup, they more of less decided on us (phew!!). The meetup is probably just to get to know us better and see if we can click (sure can lah, me and wu so friendly, don't u people agree?? kekeke..). So this blog really helps. GREAT!

I need a rest badly. I was talking to a VG during a shoot yesterday. He has been in this line for many years and he told me a few PGs has passed away due to exhuastion. GULP!! I looked at Wu, he looked at me... WE NEED A BREAK SOON! We decided to declare some weeks off to rest, research, review and to plan. haizz..
I fell sick after a shoot yesterday. Pop in two panadol & 2 running nose pills to last me for today shoot. I lost my voice. haizz..
Despite the lack of sleep and the tons of photos to sort & edit, we enjoyed what we are doing... DUH!! strange...
I discovered today, Wu cannot take durian..WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....really Pengz.

Doremon Couple

Before i talked about the Doremon couple. I have something to blog about first....hee hee..

We as a AD photographers are bound to work with some videographers. Along the way we have met some nice one that we feel very comfortable to work with. I guess it is important for PG to work well with VG to bring out the best for the couple. That is why we sourced for VG partners. At least we have someone familiar and knows each other style.

We worked with two VG not too long ago. Let call them Mr A and Mr B.
Mr A is very experienced because he is with the industry for 15 over years. Lots of experience, seen alot and know alot. And because of this, he tends to take control of some things and talked too much (or maybe i can call him Mr know it all). Well actually this doesn't really bother me but i guess it bothers the couple. I did not see him at the dinner that night. Well, my guess is, he utter too much (nonsense?) and probably take control of too many things. For me, i am a silent shooter. I try not to interfere or talked alot and prefers to let the day goes by naturally so that i can captured the natural self of everyone (but sometimes must control abit la, like group photos la, tea ceremony position la, or when the couple asked us for opinion la). So please hor, don't say i dao hor just because i keep quiet hor. kekekeeke... Sometimes i also shy shy ma...hahahaha..faint.

Mr B is very unfriendly. He doesn't smile much and he is rude to the guest. Why rude? He can shout at the guest who blocked his view!! I was shocked! Totally shocked. And best of all, he told me off infront of the couple. Faint! Just because i didn't wait for him when the car door was opened. I was totally dumbfolded!! He got off the car first... at least 2 minutes later then i got off the bridal car to photograph the groom. So that 2 mins...WHERE IS HE??? Even he is somewhere, he can always alert us to wait for him ma... ai yooo. OK, to be fair, it could be a misunderstanding somewhere, but can't we talked? He don't even want to talk to us!! And must he say me infront of the couple? waaah... how will the couple feel dude? No choice lor.. i keep quiet and swallow lor. I don't want the couple to feel stress that we PG and her VG not getting along ma. I guessed the couple also sensed his "pattern" and apologise to me later in the day. They didn't expect the VG to be soooooo hostile. Thats not all, he blocked our view, he video the couple as if he own the whole place without considering our presence... very unique videoing process indeed. It is a case of lack of communication ..... and it seems like the VG is not willing to talk it out. Really very unfriendly. haizz...

ok enough. Time for some photos... Kevin and Carilyn. One of the first few couples who signed up with us. Both of them like Doremon so much that the brothers have to dance and sing Doremon. Even Kevin must composed poems with Doremon before he can meet his bride. He is really a talented and smart guy (scholar hor). Can sing, can talk, can dance, compose, can teach as well. Oh, i also met a long time friend at their wedding. Apparently she is a colleague of Carilyn. Really small world. I got so much to say to her but it seems like we have distanced.. It is not the same as before when we met many many years back (i knew her when she was taking her O'level). I still remember those days.. haizz. Anyway.. photossssss.....

At the dinner that night, Liverpool play Manchester United. The guys knew this is a crucial match not to be missed. The groom appreciated everyone attendance at his dinner. And everyone at the dinner seems to support Liverpool....... Except me. I am glad Man U won 1-0 away...AHAHAHAHAHAHA... Red Devil Rulessss!!!

Editing work halt

I didn't do any editing tonight. I have no more hard disk space!! Gosh..

So i have been spending the whole night transferring files, burning backup copies and organising my hard disk so that tomorrow i can resume my editing work. At the same time i have chosen some photos to update in this blog.

I met Lip Chee & Maggie last year at Eng Wei & Hui Min wedding. I didn't get a chance to talk to them at all last year, but I know both of them were the "brother" and "Sister" of Eng Wei's big day. Maggie sms me one day and asked if i am free on her wedding. Initially we did't want to take up any job that weekend (rest week for me & Wu), but thought of meeting up with old friends, is really too tempting to give it a miss. I decided to take it and persuaded Wu to take it as well. We didn't regretted it at all. In fact we enjoyed it and wanted so much to shoot Jeffrey & Minyun this year. But haizz...we are booked le. So sad.. and I still thought i can meet this bunch of fun and very nice people (and of couse little Eng Wei) for 3 consecutive year. Wu even told me to persuade them to change their wedding date so that we can shoot them. Faint.. HAHAHAHA.. Its a pity. I envy the PG who will be shooting at their wedding.

Well, life goes on... and Maggie, dun forget.. Mahjong!! dun forget me!! My hands itchy le!! kekekeke.... if i have the time.

Oh, before i forget, this is the best ever and loudest "Yum Seng" by the brothers of Lip Chee. Really BEST EVER for me and Wu.... Take a look. RRRROOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!!!

I am exhausted. So many photos, so little time. December is really scary for once.. haa. I have been staring infront of the pc since morning ... Gosh. No wonder my eye sight are failing me. Think i gonna take a short half day break tomorrow before i start on another couple pics. Hopefully i can complete more photos before the next shoot in about 1 week time.

Teck Siong is one lucky man. No sabotage from the bride sister. Easy entry to all the doors at Michelle's house. This is actually the first time I encounter such easy entry for the groom..hehe. Oh, i have to say this, Teck Siong's mum cooked the most delicious prawn noodle soup !! Fwaaah...Wu and I finished everything, not a single drop of soup was left in our bowl. I could have finished another bowl. But u know la, pai seh what. How can i possibly asked for another serving...kekeke. Slurp! Now, Wu is going to deliver the photos to Teck Siong and Michelle, i wonder if his mum will treat him another bowl of prawn noodle soup .... i will be damm jealous! I went to deliver the photos for Boy & Linda on Christmas eve. About an hour and a half later, i received the above sms from him. Cool! Makes all our late late nights worth it. Wu and I have been staying up late for this month. There are simply too many photos for us to sort and edit. Thank goodness we rejected a few jobs from now till 31 December 2007. Otherwise i don't think we can finished all the photos by CNY. This month is really hectic for us. December is really THE MONTH for wedding....

We met up with Alan & Jacelyn at AMK Mos Burger to hand over their actual day wedding photos in DVD. At the same time we had a good chat with them. Jacelyn is super hyperactive when comes to phototaking. She is our most enthusiastics bride so far when comes to phototaking. She really loves to have her pic taken and she can last whole day with no sign of tireness. She can smile and talk non-stop with us. Gosh... which is not a bad thing at all. She even thought of a possibility of having us to shoot in aussie some time next year... wow. I guessed she really like us ya...kekekeke... OK la, we also enjoyed her company. It has been a joy to shoot her ROM and AD. Thanks for the opportunity Alan & Jacelyn.

I been waiting for Boon and Serene (i prefer to call Boon leh...) wedding for months. Somehow I just find them kinda special to me and eager to shoot their wedding. Dunno how to explain how special though. Just special .. just different. Anyway, I finally completed their photos. I must thanked them for being so patience with me. Muscle

Muscle is a 2 months old Shih Tzu that arrived at the Chng family 2 weeks ago. I don't really like Shih Tzu but when i met Muscle for the first time, waaah actually i find that Shih Tzu can be very cute. Last saturday i decided to pay a visit to the Chng family again (to see Muscle...kekeke). This time I brought my camera along to shoot abit. Wah, it was tough to shoot him. He was jumping and running around clumsily. Very active dog... even at 3am and 5am. You must be wondering how i know... because we played majong from 9pm to 5am...faintzz. So during the mahjong session, he will walk around, look see abit, bit on our toes (teething), bark a bit at the standing fan and take short nap (i guess he must be thinking we are so damm noisy with the mahjong that he can't sleep)...kekeke.
In conclusion, i had a good weekend....play with Muscle, take some pic on Muscle and best of all... won $$ in mahjong!! woo hoo.... Here are the pics......

Still September Wedding...

I have been extremely busy to load up some photos for this site. Busy with wedding shoot, busy with editing photos, busy with my day job...(yes, both Wu and I have a day job, and its tough to juggle bread and butter with passion for wedding photography) haiz... I am totally exhausted. Totally lack of sleep, lack of gaming, lack of movies, lack of shopping, lack of mahjong....opps.. kekeke.
This couple took us one month to complete their wedding photos. Wu and I appreciate their understanding about the huge workload we had and thus, the slight delay. We took the most number of shots for this couple...fwaah...edit till siao ah...kekeke.But worth it la.
And i have to mention this, her mum cooked the most delicious chicken wings we ever had. BEST OF THE BEST...slurp... Now we are hoping her sister will engage us for her wedding in future, so that we got a chance to taste the BEST EVER chicken wingssssssss...... :P slurp

YES! Finally I completed the August wedding photos before the super busy month of September 2007. At least now I have one week to enjoy abit before our next shoot. Time for some gaming session and also to up my character level in Maple Story. Someone I knew has been bugging me for weeks or months..."Alex!! I level 50++ le, you slow!!" .... "Alex, i training a new character, now level 30++ le, going to catch up with your main character" (You know who you are :P). I going to catch up... Wait, i still have my PSP, XBOX and Wu's Xbox360..arghhh.. So many games but so little time!!

August ROM

I had the opportunity to shoot James and Belinda ROM ceremony at the Changi Village Hotel. Have not been to this hotel after their renovation. Nice ROM setting at 6th floor and their pool really looked inviting. So tempted to jump in, but we got a job to do. We, as in i drag Wu along to shoot with me since he is free that day :P. Coincidentally, we will be heading there again in September for another ROM shoot. Maybe me and Wu should go there early to relax and nua in the pool before the shoot with the couple.. haha.... I have been trying to clear some photos taken earlier this year. Kenna questioned many times already.. "Melbourne photos ready or not?", "Baby 7 months to 1 yr photos do already?".... I will always try to siamzzz...hehe. Or i will say "couple photos first ok, after that i will do baby one".
Bleah :P... ok ok.. trying my best to complete all of them this month. I mean by end of August.

Triple Seven Couple

It was raining on 7/7/7 morning. I wanted to do an outdoor shoot with my triple seven couple. So after the make up session, and after analysing the sky, we decided to do it with the umbrella..hehe. So I drove them to the railway track and start shooting despite the drizzle. (Actually i am quite worried about my camera and lens,.. exposed themselves to the rain.. :P ). Took us about an hr with the shoot before heading back for their ROM ceremony. Lovely couple. Very nice and friendly.
